Show me your car

About the same time frame as my GTI then. It was a '98, and I bought it new. You must be a geezer like me (I'll be 51 next month.)

FWIW my Audi (also a VW brand) has been 100% for me since I bought it in 2011. But it is showing its age, while my wife's C-class Benz has more miles but still feels like the day we bought it. It isn't anywhere near as fun to drive as my 270hp A4, but it is clearly the better automobile for the real world. I'm seriously considering an E for my next car, but as I said above it'll be a few years yet.
Haha, not quite your age, I'm 43 next month (eee I'm quite chuffed to find out I'm not the oldest on here!). Yeah I do see your point, just can't get past that association with the old claptrap Polo, and we only have the one car (well, I also pay for my eldests car as he's at college, you can probably imagine the ridiculous insurance I'm paying on that..) which the missus uses far more often than me, and I don't see her picking a Volks next - I think I'll be stuck with a new Mini...

2015 Subaru Impreza 5-door Sport
She was a total from some yutz in New York.
Fastest loan I have ever payed off. I went to my bank, loaned myself 11Gs from myself and handed the money to my Ukrainian mechanic, Victor. She had 11,000 miles on her when I bought her. I couldn't be more proud. She needs so paint, someone was careless when they were replacing the back window and painfully enough, painting the hood too. I just got my winter steels off and my summer high mileage tires back on yesterday.

I have a lot I want to have done with it. I want to get an aftermarket intake, a cat back exhaust, paint the wheels and calipers, and replace the front bumper cover. I want to cut out and cover the inside "carpet" with that plastic roll you can buy at walmart so I am not endlessly smashing dirt into the interior.

All kinds of other shit that I can't remember or doesn't matter. Exhaust bushings, wing risers (edit - plan on removing the wing risers soon), 30% tinted windows, quarter window louvres (edit: rice), tow strap (functional!) etc.

Get ready for a bunch of pics. Also, these go in order from most recent to oldest, with the exception of the dyno graph at the end. That was somewhere in the middle.

Dyno sheet from when I had it on the rollers last just to see where it was at. It was tuned at 363/378 in the middle of July. After doing my balance shaft delete I had it on the same dyno this March where it hit 397/421. Those numbers are a bit inflated due to the car REALLY liking the cold weather so I'm gonna call it a solid 370/380 after doing the balance shaft delete because that does free up a small amount of power.

Edit - one picture upload was broken for some reason. Also learned paste from clipboard doesn't directly upload here, still links from the source. Reuploaded here now.

Love the license plate.

Yeah when I first saw the pictures of the car I was going to ask if it was fake lol.

Nope, that's the real deal lol. Applied for that plate as soon as I got my permanent plates after I bought the car.

I even have one of a few speeding tickets to prove it :wink:

ticket.png

That's the one plus side to the plate, is seeing that get written on tickets lol.

Drive responsibly folks (In my defense this road changed from a highway with a 60mph speed limit iirc to a 45mph county road, and I didn't see the sign as it changed coming around a bend. 70 is still too fast for 60 obviously but I legit had no intention of going THAT fast in a 45.) :teach::teach::teach::teach:

Man...
I don't know if this is an overkill considering the cars you guys/gals have but I have a Genesis G80 V8 Ultimate Package.
And I'm working on it in my spare time to make a dual cold air intake and simplified supercharger for it since none was manufactured on the professional level.

Still, I regret not getting the V6 Twin Turbo since the beginning ever since my brother smoked the living shit out of me with his G70 TT.

Consider posting progress pics, I'd love to see how it's coming along :D

Inspired by sicklyboy’s post: I don’t know if anyone cares about all the mods but damn I have 388.5whp needs retuned on e85 dual tune. I just picked up a few G1 insights to get that 2800 pounds down to 1800 without having to take the street out of it. [emoji48] going for a 4P build if I can sort the all wheel drive thing.
Running a 38-91 rotrex, all in fab fmic/rad with tial welded on, DC2.2 cams, 1000ID injectors, 74mm junk 2 mani shaved and ported/polished head, plm header, 3” thermal exhaust. Putting the power down through quaiffe diff, 255 direzza z2’s I kept the brakes stock because they work, slotted rotors on kw v2 suspension. I dunno a few more things not mentioned... a few pics

Those Focus’ on the track. I think the letters must stand for: Fuck Off Cause Ur Slow. [emoji2957] you got some crazy torque going down. I’ll be honest, I thought I was going to get like 500whp but on 8-11 pounds of boost I think that’s probably good power considering the single fuel line. I bought a HR rail, regulator and gauge, I just need to get the return line. I think my fuel supply may have been holding it back.
I got passed by one and was immediately in awe. Lol

My son says that the new gen camaros are ugly and why did they change this body style because he likes it much better than the new body style. This platform has loads of potential. Thanks for sharing.

Nice bright and shiny color. It's nice to own new car. We don't have any Renaults over here. My dad bought a Le Car and after that I believe they tried to make it work here but the build quality was absolutely terrible so what works there does not work well here. I don't know where they were made that the build quality was utter garbage, much like Yugo. I really liked the Alpina. I wouldn't mind switching classic cars on a regular basis.
