I'm honestly curious why I should bother with the springs on the shoulder buttons. I recently replaced my DS lites shell (huzzah black buttons on red shell!), and it took half the day because of one thing and one thing only. The springs in the shoulder buttons. In the end I gave up after the 500000th time they shot out and went without the springs. I can honestly say I have no clue why the springs exist at all. My shoulder buttons feel exactly the same without them. So... What are they for anyway? I still have the springs if someone can give me a reason to put them in and can tell me how to put them in without them always popping out.
