So guys, I was thinking,
Is selling my DSi to make some cash for the 3DS a good idea?
I mean, it's no loss, because I have a DSi XL too.
But still, I wanna make sure it's a good idea.
So what do you think?
And if yes, how much should I sell it for if I bundle it with 2 games (Animal Crossing + Brain Age) ?
Thanks all

Well if you have another dsi well sure but just wait till we get more clears stuff about the 3ds

Well, I know I want the 3DS, and I don't need more proof that I'll get it

I definitely want to get it at launch or maybe even a preorder and considering I have a spare/unwanted DSi, I just wanted to check over here whether selling it is a good idea or not.
So if I should sell it, for how much? (Bundled with the 2 games I mentioned above)

Yes you should, but you should wait until it is hacked.

That is what I plan to do with my DSL.

I grow attached to my consoles, so I never sell them. From time to time I will just pick up my GBA, press a few buttons, shed a tear, then put it back in a dark, dark box...

But if you need the cash, go for it.

thats a good idea, probably sell for about £100 maybe slightly more as a bundle. If your going to sell it though, do it soon, as as soon as the 3ds comes out, it will really drop in price aas everyone'll be selling them.

If i were you i'd sell i as a bundle now and then in a few months, just before the 3ds comes out, sell the dsi xl. OK, you'll have to bare a few weeks of pain without a ds but at least you'll have more than enough money to buy the 3ds, any accessories you'll need, a game in the mean time while they crack it, and maybe even enough to buy a 3ds flashcard. Though if you did do this, sell one game with the dsi and the other with the xl.

Um... DS2? Or do you mean DSi-mode? And why anyway?
If I'm gonna sell it I'm gonna do it now since later on everyone'll be selling their DS's for the 3DS.

There's nothing yet to be hacked on the DSL. What do you mean? I mean, it's already hacked, so what are you waiting for?
Anyway I told you I plan on pre-ordering my 3DS so I'm gonna need the cash pretty quickly.
And please, can someone explain why the DSi should be hackable when I sell it 0_o

Me too

I never sold a console before but... I can't find any junk in my room to sell, and well.. considering I have a spare DSi that does exactly what my XL can do, then it's my biggest cash source/printer atm.

I'd never sell my XL. Even if I get the 3DS, there's no way I'm selling the XL. My XL's screens are beautiful and it's a shame I won't be seeing that on the 3DS. Besides, I'm trying to keep like, each type of DS. I mean like, I've got a few DSL's which I also plan to sell all but one, and I've got 2 DSi's (one XL remember) so I can sell one here as well. There I'd have one DSL and one DSi, and with cash to get the 3DS, what more could I ask for? Why sell my beautiful XL?
Oh and thanks for the price recommendation

If you have a DSi XL, why the hell would you keep the DSi T_T? And no you don't grow attached to them, I haven't seen you use your DSi since the day you bought your XL, (until you lost both of their chargers and realized there was still some battery left in the DSi.

And all it's accessories + 2 games.

I'd say sell it ASAP so you can still get as much for it as possible. What the others are neglecting thought about is that the earliest revisions of any console, for example, the PSP-1000 are the most likely to be hacakble. They're also among the best for which you have a shot at keeping the firmware down, there's probably a big different between firmware 1.0 and 1.1 in terms of theoretical homebrew capability. It's your call.

Looking at some of Eighteen's posts, Trollology prefers to temporarily ignore Eighteen because she kind of scares me when she's high.
