I never had a PS Vita and got one this year and I am glad I did. Took a bit to get everything up and running with an SD2VITA card but it was well worth the learning experience.

Yes you should upgrade as the PS Vita not only can be modded with tons of homebrew and emulators but thanks to the mod “Adrenaline” made by TheFloW for the Vita’s built in PSP emulator you can use everything you have on your PSP on your Vita this includes game backups, homebrew, PS1 games, and games purchased from the PS Store

Are all Vita games playable as roms? I've read an article roms don't allow the full capabilities

There are no ROMs, more like full backups of the games which function completely like the original does. You will have to use NONPDRM versions of backups for that. These are folders you have to copy to the right location.

I'm using a 256 micro sd, 4000mah battery mod, am on the enso 3.60 custom firmware. The plugins are great, got all the psvita games I want, got the anderline to play some ps1 games, also the n64 emulator working great. With all my games and dlc I got like 30gb left. I also have the same mods psp and my games on there take up 120gb
130 for vita from Japan with 8 gb memory stick
50 for the sandisk extreme 256gb
10 for usb cable for 1000 model
10 for vita2sd adapter
20 for the 606060 polymer battery

I have a small memory card installed but I have all I need right now as well

I was just wondering if i should upgrade from my psp to a vita.
I wondered the same thing many years ago. I got a good deal on a vita1000. After about a month I sold my psp2000. The psp2000 was great, but with adrenaline on the vita, the vita is a straight upgrade. Not only is everything I had on my psp2000 compatible with adrenaline, but I also get to use Bluetooth headphones, the vita library is now open to me, as well as better battery life. Having an sd2vita card gives me plenty of storage. I’d make the change again if I had the chance.

Oh man 500gb is hoarder status. 128gb would suffice. That’s what I’m using and I have plenty of room for psp games, vita games, and emulation all set up. Guess it just depends on how much you are willing to pay. If you have a psvita1000, you’ll also need a legit vita memory card to set up sd2vita. I have all my ROMs on my 16gb vita memory card and my microsd card has psx, psp, and vita games. Vita games can be anywhere from 100mb to 3gb.

Actually I ran kingdom of hearts birth by sleep side by side with psp and oled vista, waiting for my 512 micro sd now. First thing I noticed on vita the white is paper white unlike on psp, and more colors. Also since vita is a bit brighter, it is easier to see screen during day
