i have had a GW now i have a MT..... if u want multirom and all game woorking (not woork AC and pokeoon, as on GW card) buy a MT. today MT is the better card, no one know if will be never out the GW FW 2.0!MT have not brick code
The launcher software for MT-Card is clearly a direct rip off of Gateway. The only difference is that the Diagnostic Tools are disabled. The only reason they would do this is because they have tested Diagnostics on the MT-Card and it is still triggering the Bricking Issue. There is no other reason I can think if that they would have disabled it if they were able to prevent Diagnostics from triggering Bricks.
Since Diagnostics is the only known repeatable way to trigger Bricking, if MT-Card were unable to fix it, then there is no way in hell they were able to fix it being triggered outside of Diagnostics. It is nearly impossible to fix a bug that you can not reliably trigger even you had access to the source code. Claiming that MT-Card did so with nothing but the compiled launcher is just preposterous.
This said, as far as I can tell, Gateway triggering the Bricking Issue without the user running Diagnostics has only been confirmed in one case over the past 3 months since Gateway 2.02b was released. And this report has only come to light this past week. Consider the fact that it has only been a little over a week since the MT-Card 1.1 update has been released and I would say it is much too early to pronounce that MT-Card is completely free of the Bricking Issue. I would go so far as to say that anybody openly declaring that MT-Card is brick free is outright spreading misinformation and a false sense of security.
As far as I can tell, the only thing that MT-Card has done to protect its users from the Bricking Issue is removing the Diagnostics a Tools.
If your main concern is the risk if bricking, your best bet is to use Gateway in 2.0b1 mode.
Like it or not, Gateway is the original author of all the 3DS Cart Launcher software and if you hold to the belief that they intentionally Brick consoles of clones that steal their software, then it only stands to reason that you should believe that they will continue to try to do so in their future updates. There is even the risk that they will use more sophisticated methods that will make it much harder for the clone teams to detect until it is too late or that will be impossible to repair.
And before anyone says MT-Card authored their own launcher software and points to multirom as proof, be aware that MT-Card itself has said that their multirom feature is a hardware solution and does not rely on the launcher software to work.
