Hacking Should a DSTWO+ work on latest firmware?

I just got a Supercard DSTWO plus for my O3DS running 10.5 emunand in hopes of being able to play DS and SNES games on it. I've added the _dstwo folder to the root of my micro SD in the DSTWO and when I launch it I just get a black screen.

Was I wrong to think this thing would work on latest firmware?

Are you you using RxTools by chance? If so, NDS cartridges are still broken on it as far as I'm aware.

EDIT: I also think CakesFW has this issue on o3DS as well

The brick code only goes into effect if you attempt to use the latest GW launcher.dat with the Supercard DSTwo + GW emulation mode. If he's just using it as a DS card he's fine.

I'm not using any Gateway stuff. I literally just want DS, GBA, SNES, and emulators on this thing.

Hmmm. I'm not sure then. I use my DSTwo + as a DS flashcart on my N3DS with Reinand just fine. It may be something to do with O3DS in general then. I'd wait for someone a bit more knowledgable than myself to reply.

Well I just wonder if I set it up correctly. I download the DSTWO PLUS ESO from here. Then I just took the _dstwo folder and put it on the root of my micro SD (which I formatted with GUIformatter to FAT32). Is that all that's involved with setting it up?

My understanding is that it uses the 3DS' internal emulator. It's simpler than having to install GBA cias to sysnand and emunand, if I can get this to work.

no i said the old regular DSTWO

also no the GBA emulator on the DSTWO does not use the 3ds's GBA internal emulator it uses the extra CPU and ram built into the DSTWO flashcard

I've said this and similar threads and I'll say this again GBA VC is not emulation it is simulation there is a difference and also I would say that emulation is better then GBA VC because you have emulator options like save states and frame skip just to name a few.

exactly the same the
emulators would need to be rewritten in order to take advantage of the newer processor in the dstwo+

Why do people keep saying gw has a brick code on there latest launcher? I seen no proof that can confirm this,dstwo piggybacks from there code and (gw) they even said they discovered dangerous flaws when using it with the latest version

Dstwo and dstwo plus are the same exact thing except for the gateway emulation in the plus model. And the vc runs slightly better than the dstwo emu
