Hey all, I don't post all that much, mostly a lurker, but I've come with a request today. ^^;

I've been playing Shining Force Feather for a good 7-8 hours now and I'm really enjoying it. I'm somewhat interested in forming a translation team to try to work on a fan translation, however I only have the Japanese skills, not the necessary coding and/or hacking skills.

If anyone is able to hack the rom as far as editing the language goes, I'd be more than happy to work on a translation for the game.
And with that, is anyone interested?

You in Aichi-ken? I lived in Gifu-ken for 4 years, just above you

I'm working on three translation projects concurrently right now, but I wouldn't mind helping you out with translating this one as well. It helps for me to juggle between translations so it doesn't seem like I'm working on the same thing for days on end.

@psychoblaster - I was under the impression that was more of a fanboy's area to spam what they want translated, I'm rather offering, and requesting help on a specific project ^^;

@Noitara - I really know virtually naught about "how" to hack the rom; but if you have any info I'd love to be kept updated.

@Densetsu3000 - If it develops into anything, I'm sure any help would be welcome. I stayed in Gifu for awhile myself.

Wow this game looks nice... I'd help you all if I weren't working in another project and if I had the skill >.< Good luck ^^

lol I looked into this rom when it came out, but then quit because searching through the script was so time consuming, because it was all compressed, and I didn't want to look at them one at a time to find the script that I was looking for :|

Checking the document now - there are a few things that don't make sense to how the game works, editing them now whist confirming with the game.
Yeah, some of it is impossible to translate correctly unless you've played the game. I'll be putting this one on my flashcart to check out.

I know. But you can't search for a string in all of them at once.

as a romhacker, I spend most of my time looking at new releases, and test new things in programming.

Ya rly? Add them in a zip file with no compression, find the string you want and when you to decompress the zip, the text is in the corrupted file you're trying to extract, WinRar will throw an error message.
