I have a request, could someone get this video working in 3D?
I've been trying but my 3DS keeps saying file format not supported :glare:
File format not supported? If you're using the batch files, it technically shouldn't give you anything that doesn't work. Even if the output was split in half, reversed in depth, or correct, they all should work. try asking in the other thread, or the ones who made the batch files/frontends.

oh yeah, who's the guy that does the batch files? they should definitely include options to amplify the audio, preferably by +1db, +2db, and +3db steps. some videos are whispery, and that's compounded by the fact that the 3DS have sucky speakers.

The problem with these types of videos is that they are mashed into anaglyph format BEFORE being upped to youtube (like my first post) and not easilly ripped apart to 2 separate streams.

Is there any chance to open directly mp4 videos with the stereomoviemaker?
It causes an error (Your video does not have FOURCC code), so i first have to convert it in an avi format to make it work.

Stereo video maker seems a bit buggy. a VERY quick command line can convert it to a usable AVI however.

ffmpeg -i file.mp4 output.avi

just make sure ffmpeg is in the same dir as your file.

I've got a lazy pixel only when 3D mode is enabled. Maybe somebody could make a video like this one to try to wake it up ?

Thx for the quick answer. Yea the command line is quickly made and thx for that but even a 80mb file will took several minutes to be converted - not to mention whole movies ;) .
Hope they'll fix it soon.

Lets keep this clean. (No Porn)
Lets keep this legit. (No copyrighted movies)
Files can be either converted or directly recorded from the 3ds.

I will start this thread off with a video i converted from youtube.

http://dl.dropbox.co...78/HNI_0018.AVI

This video REALLY shows the ipad jumping off the screen!!

someone has asked me for a tutorial on how I converted this video. See below:

I started with this video:
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=69szn2OkdDM

As you can see there is no left and right option here. Both the left and right views have been merged into a single anaglyph stream before upload to youtube. None of the current 3ds specific converters can handle this as they NEED a separate left and right view.
  • Download Stereo Movie Maker from http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/ (freeware)
  • Download Spark1223's 3ds video download and converter from http://dl.dropbox.co...0Downloader.zip (freeware)
  • Download the video you want.
  • Load it into Stereo Movie Maker ..... FILE>open stereo movie
  • Select the Anaglyph option ( I know there is a preserve color option...but it only places color in the right stream)
  • Save the file .... FILE>Save as 3d-avi file
  • This will save it as 2 separate video streams and 1 audio stream. However it is not in a format that the 3ds can use just yet.
  • Load Spark1223's 3ds video download and converter
  • Select the File conversion tab and load the 3d-avi file ... select and output file name and select quality of 1 ...then select "for upload to youtube" (I know we are not going to use it on youtube)
  • This will separate it back into a single video stream with a left and right view and 1 audio track
  • Load the file you just saved BACK into 3ds video download and converter ... this time selecting "side by side"
  • The video is now ready for use on the 3ds
Your video is weird. If you play it backwards from 00:20 to 00:16, it sounds like (to me) that it's saying "I want your personal life." o.o

I downloaded the same iPad 3D commercial in a higher resolution, but it loses the audio stream when I save 3D-avi.
I need to choose a specific option when downloading the video from Youtube? I chose the 2D video because Stereo Video Maker doesn't support the .mp4 file.

I'd love to see some Wind Waker gameplay videos in 3D. Sadly I don't have the means to make them myself, but when I saw some 3D screenshots I was amazed at how great they looked. Pretty please?
HOLY FRIJOLES!!! It looks awesome.

I didn't know how to upload my 3ds copy...

edit: The other one was kinda spoil-ish...
