Shadownand is experimental at this point and not needed for real usage. Just boot with the SD card in until it's recommended by Plailect.

I wouldn't install it unless you have a hardmod, or your console already has a problem with a failing reader. I've installed it with no problem. But I use Aurora Wright's fork of A9LH that boots without an sd.

While I have to recommend having hardmod while testing Aurora Wright's A9LH fork (at least the unofficial build I created a thread for) if not just to keep people from doing something stupid, bricking and then blaming me for recommending it, I can say I have installed it to 5 o3ds devices and have had no issues on any of them. I can't vouch for n3ds as I don't have one to test with
