Hacking setting up an acekard 2i

hi all very new at this not sure where to begin really. Am going to order the acekard 2i for my dsi but 1. i dont know where to buy it from. 2. i dont know how to set it up where do i get thw firmware from and all that how to put games on the sd card where is the root folder etc.. i know i may sound like a pain but i just would like to know how to set this up before i buy. also is it trustworthy will it work i have a eur dsi any help greatly appreciated thanks.

Open up the 'more info' window & it also describes how to do it in 7 steps, where to buy, download the firmware & how to find game ROMS - this should at least show you how easy it is

It only starts to get a little more difficult when you start creating your own 'Skins'/'themes' or if you come across a game or two that are probmatic on startup (No flash card is 100% with all Commercial game ROMS) but usually you may find a solution withing these forums

As you are in the UK, Id recommend http://www.addictsupplies.com/ - two of us bought one on Friday and it arrived Saturday morning.

As for setting it up, read the stickies at the top of this forum about AKAIO, and the official site is at http://www.acekard.com for the official firmware.

The Acekard 2i will work fine on 1.2E and 1.3E (the latest DSi) firmwares.

You can see on acekards own website who sells the cards. http://www.acekard.com/distributors.php
Setting it up is very easy. If you buy one with a card reader (it should come with one) you just need a Micro SD. Many cellphones uses this so you probably know it from there. Else you can buy an Acekard bundle including a SD. SOme sites offer this.
You dowload the firmware on acekards site too!

Its called "OSmenu of AK2" Here is the direct download link http://www.acekard.com/download/ak2/ak2_41...404_release.zip
You just extract all that to the root of your SD card.
It will work on your EUR DSi if you have english language (i heard/read this cant confirm).
The root on your SD card is like F:\ or M:\ or whatever your PC's names it

Its the Micro SD itself.
