i tried to start the hbmenu with my phone (samsung galaxy note8) but it won't work.
the first time i tried i used a different phone (s7) and it worked, but now i can't use it for personal reasons.
It's a problem caused by the phone or by the switch? i can i solve this?

thanks, Alex

:!:*important*:!:

i just solved this problem by changing phone (i used a samsung galaxy note 4):switch:

So you took a picture of your phone with another phone and in the wrong orientation, yet the screenshot provides no useful information anyways :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:
nope, i used my laptop because i can only use it, i can't take a picture with a different phone.
That's why the orientation is wrong

Hi,
I feel your frustration. I really do.
I have a note 5 and a tab S2.
Both don't work for I don't know why.
My guess? They're not xhci (hope it's correct) compatible.
I literally had to buy another samsung phone (J5 Prime) to get it to work.

The note 8 is confirmed to work. Are you using a otg or c to c?

Try other cable USB, I have this problems.

otg, but with a friend phone it works perfectly.
Is there anyway to do this with a pc (windows)?
Like emulation or something?

i solved by changing phone (read the last string of my thread)

I know this is quite a necro, but are you saying that you switch to a Galaxy Note 4 and it worked? Because I'm using a Galaxy Note 4 and I'm getting this error. Using my old Galaxy S5, however, works perfectly. Just want to rule out the Galaxy Note 4 simply not being supported or if there's something I need to change on the phone. It's a bit of a nuisance having to carry around 2 phones everywhere, even though my S5 fits pretty snug in my Switch case.

At first I thought that the Note 4 wouldn't be supported because it only has a Micro-C plug and not the USB3 almost-double-wide charge port on the S5 that OTG to the Switch wasn't supported. Basically, I thought the deciding factor was that it had to be USB3 seeing as you can't deliver payloads from a computer unless you're using a USB3 port either. Is that incorrect? Are there different Note 4's with the double wide USB3 port and some without (like mine)?
