Hacking Semi-Broken DS

I hate my DS Lite.
The right shoulder button doesn't works anymore, the power switch doesn't springs back in position + it's hard to move, and my top screen gets red and green flickering stripes, sometimes directly when I turn on my NDSL, sometimes after a few minutes.
What should I do? Repair this one? Buy a new one, repair the broken one, and have a spare NDS? Or buy a PSP?
Or do nothing and just live with the fact I can't play games wich require the R Shoulder button to work?

get it repaired if still under warranty...better yet get it replaced!!

Pfff. I can't remember when I bought it, it was 1 or 2 years ago.
I heard somewhere that you could check if you still have warranty on the Nintendo website but I couldn't find it...

i had the exact same problem, i literally just put my mouth up against the button and blew into it as hard as possible, its been working for months since...

Well if it's out of warranty...Open it up, check the power switch and spring, check your shoulder buttons and springs, and make sure any ribbon cables aren't loose. Failing that i'd just go buy a new one.

@billyMON: Well I blew into it, and it worked! Kind of... It still acts weird, sometimes it goes like 3 times but I only push once, and sometimes it does nothing.

@Sticks: It won't help checking the springs of the power switch, because the reason my power switch doesn't springs back is because my shell is deformed, and I don't think any of the ribbon cabels is lose, I think I managed to burn my screen, cos it my screen started to do this when my DS was turned on and not closed for a pretty long time (imagine my DS lying open for like, 3 hours or sth)

I think I just get a new one + a new flashcard (anybody knows a good one?), it's nearly my birthday and I don't know anything else to get.
Then buy some stuff from the internet to repair this one (new shell (also, anybody knows a nice/good one?), top screen, etc.) and flash it right away.

And if I don't do that, well... I don't know what I will do then, maybe curse my NDS even more.

Dealextreme sells replacement shells and replacement screens.

The cheap ones are around $20 and the (top) screen is around $17.

That should fix your problems, as long as the motherboard is still OK...

As for flashcard, I would reccomend an AK2, it's cheap and effective

When I compared these pics with my screen, I came to the conclusion that my screen is waaaaay worse then these pictures show.
While I was typing this, I looked again at my screen and it was almost totally green.

Yeah....bad luck man....
It would be the best if you would get the new Lite, and then get some spare parts and try to fix this one, but if you fail, you still have the new one!!
