Would anyone actually donate for open-source homebrew, quicker updates, or more homebrew?

No one is gonna want to pay to beta test software, beta testing should be free (theyre doing a service for you, not the other way around). Also:
If you're going to make a post about selling homebrew, then make some sellable homebrew, or get the f*ck out.

This thread is just pointless.

@Skullcollector: Stop desperately trying to think of ways to get people to pay you for something. I have no particular dislike or disrespect for you, but you seem to have built yourself a bit of a reputation here. I'd advise you to stop making a fool of yourself before people begin to think of you as even more of a joke.

People aren't flaming or going off topic. You've asked a question and you don't like the answers.

Anyways, is there anyone willing to collect homebrew and host them on a site for all to see and download? That was sort of the idea behind my homebrew review thread...but I kind of fail at reviewing homebrew xD (but I'm still going to do it anyways =D).

Homebrew developers don't make games and apps for money... they make em for the enjoyment of other people

although if said developers had sites (with paid hosting & domain) then I would say a Donate button from Paypal would be the best bet for maintaining said sites.

(P.S: On the second question on the survey, why did you put 'As much as a DS game', that's just a horrible answer/idea.)

This isn't a publicity stunt nor a way to gain money. It is just a poll. Stick to the topic.
No one's going off-topic. Everyone is posting about your questions. Ironically, I think your posts (and perhaps this one) are the only off topic ones in the thread.

Well Skullcollector, you gotta actually FINISH a homebrew game before you can sell it.

And no, homebrew should always be free. We buy homebrew carts for free homebrew. If I wanted to pay for games, I would stick to buying DS games.
