i just updated emunand, gateway mode runs fine but when i press the select button in order to play a backup it does nothing, before i updated it worked just fine

what should i do?

im currently using a gateway with the latest launcher, there is no cfw installed

lol sorry, i guess i just panicked, i didnt noticed there was a new one

someone please delete this post
In the future you should always check the gateway website before updating your emunand. You got lucky gateway already had a patch out and you didn't have to wait a month. And of course always use emunand tool to back up your emunand before tampering with it.

yeah i checked there was an update but since i got my gateway less than a week ago i tought i had the latest one
maybe i installed the wrong launcher before

so basically i just redownloaded it

also, i tought if emunand wasnt compatible it wont boot gateway mode at all, not just the multirom menu, thats the main reason i panicked

Nintendo kinda gets to "pick" how their updates break gateway, then gateway has to figure out what's different and try to fix it.

Nintendo made small changes to the Home Menu that broke the hook Gateway installs to watch for the Select button. The rest of the system was unchanged, so the firmware boots just fine.

Instead of deleting the thread, it's good to leave it in place in case others have the same issue. They can find someone who had the same issue, and see the solution.

For future reference, always backup your emuNand before updating, even when you have the new launcher, just in case anything happens.
