It's been a complete surprise to the developers who were not told about the release and will also be uncredited for thier work that was carried out in the worst conditions apparently!

Well, if he worked on Sega's behalf, using Sega's resources, and if the contract between the parts doesn't state the opposite, then Sega has the full right to do whatever they want with their copyright.

I know this shouldn't happen but most companies have such clauses on their contracts to "protect" their interests. When we sign on the dotted line, we lost all legal rights over all of our work there.
