I've heard of 2 emulators DGEN and picodrive, but I'd like to know which sega megadrive emulator for the psp is the best?
i.e highest compatability, least bugs and runs a full or near full speed.
It doesn't have to be one of the 2 I've mentioned if there is a better one out there.
So does anyone have any ideas?

I use PicoDrive. I've not used DGEN, but pico is doing all I need (save states and all). And games run flawlessly so far for me.

thanks tempers anyone know what the latest version of picodrive is?
Also do I have to convert the games to work on the psp or just use them as they are?

1.51b....haven't used it in a while but if we're talking Genesis ROMs rather than Sega CD then both zipped or unzipped should be fine.

Details are in the readme....simpler if you have a go and come back with any problems.

I can't find this mentioned in the read me anywhere but where do I put the game files I want to play? do I put them in the PicoDrive folder or do I put them in the psp\game folder?

i assume you asked about ROM location right? put it anywhere you like coz you can browse for them.. i usually put it in PicoDrive\ROMS though
