Can the Picodrive DS run Sega CD games? The Sega Cd has some additional hardware, and I don't know if Picodrive DS covers them, or is it just a bare Genesis emulator.

Or, to put it another way: I'd like to play the English version of Snatcher on my DS. Can it be done?

The Picodrive I have for the PSP does SegaCD as well--if it can do the same on the DS, I don't know. Same name, but I don't know if it performs the same.

I wasn't even aware there was a Picodrive for the DS until now.

Too bad it's just a demo.

Oh man I had no idea that there was a Sega CD emulator for the PSP! I am so gonna play some portable Night Trap on the train, on car rides... on the toilet....

Well, the first stage of Sonic CD has been backported to the Genesis by Stealth, hacker extraordinaire. As it's still copyrighted material, though, I can't really link you to it.

Lordus has stated that it's too powerful to consider emulating at full speed. As a proof of concept of course it would be possible, but to get games in a playable state would probably take more power than the DS hsa.
