hey everyone

Recently, I accidentally dropped my preciously mint conditioned ds lite during a rush. It led to the lower shell screen cracking and some scratches to the back of the lower shell.
Both screens and the console perform accurately from what I can tell. It's just the shell screen and lower back shell that has been cracked. I'm going to replace the parts myself since these are fairly easy to exchange, so I am seeking to purchase the best replacement parts. Any recommendations?

I don’t know how the quality of DS Lite replacement shells has progressed over the years, but I remember back when the DS Lite was still current gen, replacement shells tended to be pretty crap where the hinge pieces were concerned and broke quite easily through general usage. It appeared that the internal shell pieces were quite thin. This was apparent where the speakers were and could be seen through the plastic on light coloured shells.

So where possible if your internal shell pieces are still intact, I would recommend keeping these original and refraining from replacing these if not necessary. However, I haven’t had any experience with replacement DSL shells in recent years, so things may have changed. Just thought I would share my experience. ^_^

I was hoping for a recommendation as well. I wanted to get one that was least likely to break. I was just about to make a post when I saw your post. Maybe someone else here has a few ideas.

Replica shells are pretty much always crap.
At least they appear to have been made with (discarded) original molds.

OP, just look on aliexpress.
