Hello there,
so I basically want to build a handheld console with a Raspberry Pi 5 to do some emulation. It should look somewhat like a Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck, with the screen in the middle and controllers on the sides.
Now I need some kind of controller that's split in half like the Nintendo Switch controllers but with a wired connection (ideally USB).
I've tried using the Switch controllers of a friend of mine, but connecting them to the Raspberry Pi via Bluetooth is almost impossible, and they are still very laggy when connected. Also, they still need to be charged and are around €80 here.
So I basically need a controller that is split in half with USB connection and the normal button/joystick layout (like PS2/3 or Xbox).
I remember watching a YouTube video showcasing such a controller, but I don't know what to search for anymore.
Does anybody have a recommendation on a Product like this?
I appreciate your help!
