Hacking SD Problem

OK i know this isnt the exact place to post this but it is related to SC so here goes.

Up until yesterday my miniSD card (with SD Adapter) was being recognized fine by my laptop and also by my usb sd card reader,
Now it is not beingYet it recognized at all, meaning i cant format it even if i wanted too.

Yet it is still working fine in my SCSD it reads fine games play games save no problems there.

I just dont see a way around getting the laptop or usb reader to recognize the sd card.

and yes i have already checked the little "side lock" on the sd card

I think it might be the adapter anyone know where you can buy an adapter on its own? uk based please
