Hardware sd cards keep corrupting

most of my sd cards got corrupted for no reason. i just safely unmount them and sd cards get corrupt.
no error message, just when i put the sd card back into my phone/3ds/psp. it says that its corrupt.

It could be a faulty reader, it could also be faulty cards. What I would do is test a few different SD cards with h2test to test the cards and the IO speeds and check if they're at rates you expect. If that turns up nothing, I would buy another reader (maybe from a more reputable name such as Anker).
