Currently I have a Class 2 Sandisk 4GB microSD I was wondering whether I should spring for the Transcend Class 6 8GB (from Amazon) or keep this one would it help game performance at all?

Game performance, not really. The only thing that's really faster for flash carts is save data on games where it takes a bit (like pokemon), the bandwidth for slot-1 entirely is often the limit when loading things.

If your current one is having no game freezing or not loading issues due to it then you don't need faster.

Well then another question I have a few lag issues with a few games are those due to a bad or poorly designed micro SD or are they normal problems? Such games are Bowser's Inside Story (loading battles) and Pokemon Soulsilver/HeartGold/Pearl/Diamond (Bag really slow moving). Any reason for these problems or is it some other reason?

I upgraded from a class 4 sandisk 4gb to a class 2 sandisk 8gb with out any problems.
I ordered an A-data 16gb card from newegg at the recommendation of some tempers. Hope I have no issues with it as I had previously never heard of A data. The price was nice.
