I am currently trying to use the newly leaks kernel exploit for 5.51 but the sd card has PRIVATE and DCIM folders not wiiu and app.

This is because you need to create them yourself. Create the wiiu folder on the root of your sd card and in it create apps

Create folders like this:
sd:/wiiu/
sd:/wiiu/apps/ <- There are the apps you should put to load with Homebrew Launcher
DCIM Are for Photos/Mii Maker PNG Photos
APP is for load Apps (homebrew) in Wii U with Homebrew Launcher

Download your Wii U ISOS Ready for Loadiine.
Download Lastest Loadiine GX2 app
Put it in Apps Folder
Now, put the games you want:
for example:
SD:/wiiu/games/Super Mario 3D World [ARDE01]/content, data, and code Folders
USE ALWAYS [] NO ()
REMEMBER TO PUT THE ID OF THE GAME.

Before you do anything with your SD card, you need to format it to FAT32. Format it using 64kb (or 8192 byte) clusters. This will erase everything on your SD card, so copy your DCIM and other folders if you care about them.

Your SD card is defective, it didn't come with the files needed to Wii U homebrew.

Ok ok, instead of loading loadiine, try loading the Homebrew Launcher. Then launch loadiine from their. Make a wiiu folder and inside of it make a apps folder. Than download HB Launcher and loadiine (put loadiine in your apps folder mkay?).
