Hey,

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on what I'm doing wrong.

I have a .cia file of 3.7gb and it won't allow me to add it to my sd card, of course the card is formatted to fat32 which has an allowance of 4gb maximum.
Am I missing a trick or is the file just that little bit too big?

Thanks

How big is your SD card? You need a minimum of about 4 GB free space on the card for FBI to do its magic for that game. If you have the original 4 GB SD card filled with that 3.71 GB cia, there isn't enough space.

It's a brand new 64gb card. It has the space, however the computer will not allow me to paste the file over to it.

Where did you buy your card? One the leading causes of nonworking SD cards are that many of them are fake.

Never assume a card is authentic even if it looks real and you got it from a supposedly reputable seller. Did you check your card with a write + verify using H2testw program? http://www.heise.de/ct/Redaktion/bo/downloads/h2testw_1.4.zip
Do a quick and dirty check with 5 GB. If your card passes 5 GB, do a full write + verify. Most fakes are no bigger with an actual (real) capacity of 3.71 GB. The quick / dirty method is to find out soon.

Don't believe it is real until that program tells you it is real. Amazon has a bad practice of mixing authentic products with fake ones in their warehouses as long they have the same product code. You'll be surprise how far counterfeiters have gone in making fake SD cards look indinstinguishable from the real ones.

Thanks, I can't check with the link above as I'm using a Mac at the minute. But the issue literally seems to be because of the fat32 format. It says it's too large for the volume's format. I will switch over to windows and see if the problem can be resolved. I've also tried it on another of my cards which is also formatted to fat32 also and it's giving me the same issue.
The card has had other Cias on it also, but each file has been under 1gb a go.
