Hacking sd card freezing?

So I erased all the data my Kingston 4gig micro SD card last night and put everything back on it. Since then, both FFIV and CastlevaniaoE have froze, both within a very short time period of each other. Would a simple format fix this?

Kingston are notorious for this windows does not format sd cards correctly, download panasonics sd formatter (use google to find - its free) format with this and then put everything back on - should be fine. I have 4 sandisk cards and 1 kingston and the kingston always freezes if I format it using windows

I also tried formatting using my Mac, using Disk Utility, but that didn't help either. Thanks, I'll look up that program.
