Hi,

I wanted to get a SD card for my new 2DS XL for, uhm, “backups”.

Since emuNAND is not required anymore, I am thinking about a 64GB instead of 128GB

Samsung Evo (orange one) 64GB ~20€
Samsung Evo Plus (red one) 128GB ~35€

What do you guys say?

You don't even need that much, I use a 16GB card just fine on my n3DS

I see, then I will go for 64GB. Since as far as I’ve heard the DS is the bottleneck

DS is the bottleneck... Am I missing something?

Regarding to Speed.

Afaik the (New) Nintendo XDS series only support up to class 3, while even the cheapest SD Cards are at least class 10

Yea. Even If i put UHS3 card in it, which costs a lot more, the DS can only benefit Class3, which is like 3-4mbs

You don't even need a fast card at all, and the main bottleneck is the 3DS itself, you don't need an expansive card
