A specific torrent site (Not sure if i can give domain, not that it matters anymore) Has been SEIZED D; the beginning of the end?

What do you guys think?
it says infringement, I'm wondering on what they base that on. i didn't think posting downloads was considered "infringement", they must have done something other than just being a torrent site, right? Or perhaps the government has found a way to get away with shutting down sites on different terms.

For some reason I think that's awesome.
Sucks for the people who used that site, I suppose *shrugs*.

Remember what happened when napster was shut down? All the servers will just relocate to places like Iran, North Korea, and Afghanistan. I'd like to US officials try to shut down those servers.

they are trying to pass a law that will allow them to block the sites.

it's not blocking them, it's completely taking them down, basically the USA would control the internet

*doesn't care*
I'm in pretty much the same boat; doesn't bother me either, though before now the only sites I've been aware of that have received this notice were the spam/scam sites in a thread Rydian made a little while ago.

*Torrent site removed was the main one everyone was talking about, they're fighting back

also a lot of sites have been scared and are moving to alternate top level domains (aka not .com)

so you or no one else is bothered by the fact that the US is finally doing things against internet piracy? this could just be the beginning.

Maybe we should have listened to those linux nerds after all.

lol j/k.

Yes, torrents do suck. Their clients love to eat bandwidth and many times download very slowly.

you shouln't torrent cause the moment you upload to a Bad Seed they have your ISP an then you get a Copy Write Infringment Notice... Why would anyone torrent knowing this? Also you should try NewsGroups if your interested in this kind of stuff abiet they are not suppose to post movies, games, etc. you can still get them off it and at extremely fast speeds but you pay for the service. Well worth it if you get weekly DL's. Google is your friend.
