Hacking saviine question

do i have to have an actual copy of the game to back up my saves and use them on loadiine? if so i hope we can find another way to back up saves soon... i sold my assassins creed black flag last year and i want my save from my wii u

You do need the disc. To grab saves from the system directly without the disc would require IOSU. Looking at the progress of IOSU, it MAY be very close. For now, I suggest finding a save or starting fresh.

ehh i got it on xbox one too, i just wanted to play from my 12 hour+ save lol (plus i like the way black flag plays on the wii u with the gamepad, dispite slightly less graphics). damn this sucks, but oh well i guess. until iosu if it ever happens....
