I wanna be able to play and beat Pokemon Blue and Red (and maybe Yellow) on my DS. But to fully beat either of those, you need to catch all the Pokemon. You can't link a DS Gameboy emulator with another one, so trading between DS systems is out of the question...

But visual boy advance lets you link and trade, and it works with older games.

So, is there a way I can play Pokemon on my DS's Lameboy emulator, and then move the save files to my laptop to load into visual boy advance (or another emulator that allows linking) and then once the trading is done, move the file back to my DS and continue playing with transactions complete?

Is there a pair of emulators that will allow for this kind of thing to get done?

Why not just copy the "Pokemon Red.sav" file that Lameboy creates to your laptop? SRAM data should not differ between emulators except for the amount of empty padding on the end of the file.
