Hacking Save memory error?

I keep getting this message when trying to play most games, can you tell me how to solve it?

"There has been a save memory related error. ROM save memory support is disabled for this session. Please see the EDGE website for more information.
Error code:-1

And I have also seen about 3 threads on this with absolutely no response whatsoever, just to let you guys know.

Well, did you leave any space for memory card?

The card is 8 gigs, has over 2 gigs left free on it.

Okay solved the above issue, but now im trying pokemon Black, and it will not save after I get the pokedex, no matter what I do.

Are you using the patched/ hexed rom? There were multiple issues with this game and my saves were all screwy when using the prepatched, but the clean rom I hex edited myself (using the edit kindly provided in the main topic forum) has had no such issues.

Interestingly my Edge has a completely different save problem- see my other post in this board for details
