I'm planning to sell Mario Kart 7 as I don't really have time to play it these days and the trade-in price is worth it so by the time the summer holidays come, I'll pick it up again. I do have one question though: where exactly is my save file located? Is it saved on the cartridge or in my 3DS? Whatever the answer is, does that also apply to other 3DS games?

Thanks

On the cartridge I thought...Which is why the R4i Save Dongle is required to extract them. http://r4i-sdhc.com/SaveDongle.asp This is what you would need in order to do so, and it applies to other 3DS games as well (so far).

Is that so? Well that's a bummer. Not getting rid of it then.

Thanks :)

(should have asked this in the Ask section instead. Forgot about that...)
