Hacking Sam & Max: weird file, how to extract?

Hi all,

I've got this file here on Sam & Max Season 1, size is about 460 MB:

Neither wx360 nor god2iso recognize it. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the game being a digital-only one or if it's a bad file (even tough I doubt the latter). Under properties it says "file type: file". Does anyone know how I can play this file/game on my JTAG/RGH?

Copy it to the 360 with 360 content manager.
It's probably a DLC container/game container.

000D0000 is an xbox live arcade game. that's how its container looks on the hdd. stick it with your other xbla games and yaris swap or whatever to it if it's not already 0'd out.

dlc will be in a 00000002 folder. that's how you can tell what kind of content it is.

that may be misleading. there's no reason to extract it in order to play it. it's the way containers are. they're just an alphanumeric with no file extension.

So I just transfer it to the XBLA folder on HDD1? Does that folder exist or should I stick it to the HDD1/Games folder? Without any extraction/conversion whatsoever?

no extraction. just stick it with your other xbla games (i.e. wherever you have FSD/Aurora scanning for them). they can be on an external hdd as well, which is where I have my xbla games.
