I'm running an A9LH'd old 3DS on fw 10.7.0-32E with CakesFW. I haven't updated CakesFW since I set up CFW sysnand (around March). Is it safe for me to update to 11.0? I checked the Cakes repository and there doesn't seem to be a release that supports 11.0.

Get the newest version of cakes of course and then what the guy above me said whom I give all credit to for caring of course about cakes.

If you're interested in switching to Luma it's very easy. I was in the same situation as you (cakes from Feb/March). I just copied the Luma stuff into my SD card and added decrypt9, uncart, and emunand9 and renamed as suggested in the guide, and copied the firmware file in, and deleted the cakes folder and cakes.dat. Works great.

All aboard the derail thread train!!!!XD
but really though the person that made this thread needs to switch from cakes to luma.

I know, I wasn't blaming your or anything, it was just to tease you a bit. ;) I mean even @Temarile didn't correct you or anything, so I guess it's OK.

People mistake me for a guy all the time on the internet, it's just that people don't really expect a girl to browse these forums I suppose. And we are derailing the thread a bit indeed :P Sorry mods!

As for OP: As I mentioned before, Cakes supports 11.0. But you can also switch to any other CFW (such as Luma) if you want to. It's not necessary, it's just that Luma3DS is the norm nowadays and most people only know how to help you with Luma :)
