Hacking Safe to Update Firmware?

I have my Wii hard moded (mod-chip) is it safe install MadWorld update?

If the game is from your region, then yes

I won't if I were you, because your wii is modded I assume that Madworld is a backup so google for wiu and with the patch option in the program you can burn the update into the iso file.

You need the update.

Either do some homebrew stuff (people have asked about it numerous times, just use the search button.)

or

Make sure the game is from your region and you can update (I did this because I don't want to get into homebrew.)

but if you it isn't from your region, either download the one that is or homebrew it.

In general: Is it safe to update(and a good idea)?

If you don't care about homebrew at all and only play games from your region, install all updates and you are fine.

Else: Get a disc update blocker(starfall OR preloader) and install the IOS required for the game manually or just use a loader like Gamma/Gecko OS, SoftChip or my toy(for some imports).
