s9xTYLmecm and Star Ocean

    So I just hacked my PSP and downloaded s9xTYLmecm. Every SNES game I have works with it except the one I want, Star Ocean. Anyone have any way for it to work? I load it and just get a black screen. I've tried using a clean rom and patching and that didn't work either.

    why not, play the PSP version of the game?

    I've played the SNES version of the game before and I've heard that the PSP version is a much weaker game in general than the SNES version.

    Star Ocean was one of those games with special hardware if I remember correctly. Maybe it isn't supported by the emulator.

    Anyway, I also suggest trying the remake. Make your own decision on it.

    The version of SNES9x that the emulator uses does not have support for the special ship SO used IIRC. Star Ocean was one of the last games to be properly-emulated (before it was you needed the graphics already decompressed in a pack).
