Uh, yeah, and no where in the quote below or in anything Apache said does he say anything about AGB_FIRM and whether or not both sysNAND and emuNAND needs patched AGB_FIRM installed.

This was the problem I've been having all day. If I removed the CIA from sysNAND, I couldn't launch it from emuNAND.
Just to confirm what Apache said.
To use custom GBA games, you must install a copy of the CIA into sysNAND AND emuNAND.
The patched AGB_FIRM only has to be installed into emuNAND though. You can leave sysNAND AGB_FIRM stock.
