Hacking rxTools nightbuild not starting up

I followed the rxtools tutorial, but I'm stuck at the part where I have to launch rxtools from the internet browser. I always get the message: 'An error has occurred. Please save your data in any software currently in use, then restart the system.'

rxTools seems to work when I use the 2.6 version but that doesn't have devmode to update my emunand..

This is my sd layout:
Nintendo 3DS Folder
rxTools Folder (got it from the rxtools GitHub)
Firmware bin (got it from the *snip*site)
Launcher dat (Gateway website)
rxTools dat (Also from rxtools GitHub)
Slot0x25keyX bin (got it from the internet with the right MD5)

Can someone please help me fix this?

edit: I also tried rxtools 2.5 with devmode included but I didn't see any of my installed cia's when using devmode. Only when I used rxmode.

devmode is to update sysnand, not emunand. Did you actually mean update your sysnand?
If all you want is to update emunand, on O3DS you can do it directly from system settings, but on N3DS, you have to use sysupdater (I'm not entirely sure how firmlaunch interacts with sysupdater when on emunand but I believe that's how people do it.)
