Hi i just finished following everything in this guide http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=144835 i also did the extra part at the end which is supposed to allow me to run backups from the disc channel.
When i try to run backup games from the disc channel they appear in the channel then when i hit start i get a black screen or an error message (ERROR #01, With mario kart wii).

    Could anyone please help me?

use the mail address to request the needed files. The installer had files in it that are not allowed on GBAtemp

If you are using cIOSCorps 3.3 or 3.4 and you have Mario Kart Wii burned to a DVD-R then it will give you that error, either use an older version of cIOSCorps (but you will lose compatibility with other games) or burn Mario Kart Wii to a DVD+R (bookmarked DVDROM).
