Rumour: Move Priced

Possibly the biggest stumbling block facing Sony and their upcoming Move device is how the company prices the motion controller add-on. Good news for gamers, however, as according to renowned bastion of hard facts, The Sun, Sony’s Wii-rival will hit shelves at the sweet spot of “about £45.” (€52)

It makes sense for Sony to charge as little as possible for its new technology in an effort to attract a greater number of consumers and hence compete with Nintendo in the upcoming Waggle Wars™. Previous reports hinted that the Move could retail at up to £100/€115, a figure many would-be adopters were turned off by.

If The Sun’s report is accurate (and there is nothing to suggest this isn’t just wild speculation on their behalf) it looks like Sony are prepared to swallow a considerable hit in order to get as many Moves into people’s homes as possible later this year.

Im no troll, Im a (somewhat) dedicated Sony fan, I was just stating my honest opinion about the controller, so I dont think I need any crap from you. I just think that the controller is too overpriced for an American market, and will probably fail to the Wii's $40 controller. Besides, I thought to use this, you had to have the PS3 Eve or something,
not to mention the Nunchuk-like controller add-on. Basically, to get this, you end up spending way more than it costs to buy a Wiimote

Sony Move costs after Purchase of Eye and nunchuk device thingy: $120-ish dollars (figuring about 60 for the controller USD, price of EYE being $40 and nunchuk being $20.)

Cost of Wiimote+MotionPlus+Nunchuk= $70

See, I have relatively real figures for this, call me a troll again. Besides, I like Sony and Nintendo about the same...

This is also why I've only purchased one extra controller, controllers have gotten overly pricey lately, a new controller cost almost as much as a brand new game, I remember back when you could get a new PS2 controller for like $30 at most, and games would cost $40-$50, and sure, that's still relatively close to the cost of a game, but I suppose EVERYTHING is just getting overly pricey.
I might buy a Move, but that wont be until I can find one for cheap at a pawn shop.

Amazon should have used ones to, and yeah who would want to buy a controller if a game is the same price.
