Gaming [RUMOR] Super Mario Odyssey Will Have Multiplayer

There's a rumor going around, that in the original Switch trailer, there's a person playing Mario Odyssey, and they bring the console to their friends and start playing *together*. It wasn't shown that the person changed the game, and now, many people say that it will have multiplayer.

What are your thoughts?

If it does have multiplayer, it'll most likely be in the form of the second player assisting the first player, similar to Super Mario Galaxy.
It's hard to make proper coop multiplayer work in a game like this. It's easy in games like Super Mario 3D World where you just have to get to the end of the level.
A versus mode where you race to complete certain objectives could work and wouldn't be hard to implement though, but that still isn't what I would consider proper multiplayer since you would get the same experience from playing separately and timing it with a stopwatch.

yeah just like galaxy had multiplayer... its not actual multiplayer lol.

the only true 3d mario multiplayer game is still mario 3d world and probably will be for a long time imo.
