Gaming [RUMOR] Super Mario Maker - Content Updates?

So I was checking amiibo compatibility with Yoshi's Wooly World, and I found something rather interesting. It appears that the Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer Series 1 NFC cards are listed as "TBA" for compatibility with Super Mario Maker:

Is it possible that Nintendo is planning content expansions (Such as different level types, new games, new amiibo suits, or even new blocks) for future Super Mario Maker updates? Might these updates be announced in future Nintendo Directs, or even alongside the possible NX announcement at E3 2016? What do you think?

you can scan the AC HHD cards to unlock the AC costumes of the card you scan, if they have a costume in the game (you should be able to do it now)
