Rumor: Nolan North, VA of Nathan Drake, to Reprise his Role?

Nolan North has apparently revealed he's to reprise his role as Nathan Drake this year, suggesting that Uncharted 3 will be in production this year.

North has fast become the voice of videogames, lending his talents to Halo 3: ODST, Assassin's Creed 2 and Shadow Complex in 2009 alone. 2010 looks set to be an equally busy year for North, with the actor telling GamePro that he's working on the sequel to Assassin's Creed 2 – which has already been acknowledged by Ubisoft – as well as a sequel to Uncharted 2 and "a couple of other big premiers that are still unannounced."

A third entry in the Uncharted series would come as no surprise given the success enjoyed by the games to date, with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves being crowned IGN's Game of the Year 2009. We even made a little video to celebrate that. If voice work is commencing on the game this year we could be seeing it sooner than expected.

We've asked Sony for comment on the possibility of a third Uncharted.

I think you got Insomniac and Naughty Dog confused. Naughty Dog developed Uncharted as well as the Crash and Jak series.

It is Insomniac that did it but also, dont forget that most of them are quality titles. They make great games proving that some companies are able to do it without spending 2+ years on each titles.

Ontopic though, I do not believe that he is such a brilliant voice actor. I think he is great as Nathan Drake, Desmond Miles and even the guy from Shadow Complex but the fact is that he cannot seem to put on voices that are able to differentiate each role from others. Whenever I hear him in games, I instantly think of Nathan Drake and that just pulls me out of the game.

uncharted became very very famous thus i agree to keep a good (or possibly the best) actor to attract the same and even more fans to show their dedication to the development
