There are rumors from an "inside source" that a new entry in the popular LEGO series is in the works- Lego Harry Potter. This is just a rumor, though.
Regardless, I find it an EXCELLENT and obvious choice for the series, but the idea might be getting a little stale.
At any rate, the Harry Potter series is perfect:
- large selection of stories/movies
- I can see a LOT of potential for humor
- plenty of "driving" sequences (flying cars and broomsticks)
- TONS of characters
- great opportunities for fun puzzles
- lots of locations and the castle to explore
- magic + legos = win (like the force on steroids)
- perfect choice for hiding secrets
The main problem is the story presentation. Those who know the books will know that they are HEAVILY reliant on non-action wordy story elements, as opposed to action heavy stories: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman. They may have their work cut out for them when putting the details in. That is, unless they decide to to the unprecedented in a LEGO game: voice acting.
