I'm assuming that the price is low because this thing isn't coming out anytime soon.
it mentions shipping with jellybean so im guessing late this year maybe early next year since ics deployment took so long
The tablet is coming out next month and jelly bean is just an incremental update (It's Android 4.1), You are thinking of Key Lime Pie (Android 5.0) that is probably going to release with new Nexus phones later this year or early next year.

very nice, when it comes to google, they always rise fast. firefox was not able to beat ie in terms of users but chrome drops in and beats them both

but the big question is, will it come with android?

That's pretty much the same as asking if the thing is gonna come with a rechargeable battery.

7" is too small for me, but the price is sure appealing.

I mean, other than Kindle Fire what other tablets out there are $199?

I hope it has 3G though.

Blackberry Playbook (16GB) is down to that in the US I think.

8GB for a tablet is quite small, but if it is expandable by micro SDHC, you can bulk it out quite cheaply. Certainly less than $50 for an extra 8GB, although it'd probably be slower than internal storage (still fine for music or videos, leaving the internal for apps). [I have a 16GB blackberry playbook and with my music collection and a bunch of apps on it, I only have about 1.5GB free space left for putting videos etc. on it (leading to me only ever having a couple of episodes of TV shows or whatever on it at a time).]

Other than that, this looks like a great tablet for the price. 7" is preferable to me over 10", much more portable. Being a Nexus device, it will get great support from the developer community, you can be sure that all the big custom ROMs will be ported to it (CM, AOKP etc.), plus it'll come with a pure Google experience, which is superior to virtually every manufacturer UI anyway. IMO, Android is much better suited to tablets than iOS. The UI with it's widgets etc. make more sense than a few very spaced out icons. Plus stuff like the Chameleon homescreen [http://chameleon.teknision.com/] is only for Android.

In short, I think this could be a great device, but I almost certainly won't be getting one. I already have a tablet, and wouldn't be able to get enough money for it to replace it with one of these.

Nook and Corby literally unheard of in Singapore.
Chinas are pretty unreliable.

Goddd why? Just bluetooth DUN or WiFi hotspot your phone to the tablet. Bonus points (and speed) if you've got a solid 4G LTE connection on the phone (not sure what the availability of that in Singapore is though)

just saw pics of it and the tablet has a lot of wasted space. Either the screen needs to be made larger or the bezel made smaller.
