it coming 4 months before my birthday,

I'm really not too interested in it though until a red one comes out.

I still don't understand why someone would pay 60 bucks more for a shitty camera and a new menu.

number one the camera is 3 Megapixels and is on par with some camera phones number 2 you can download your favorite dsiware-based homebrew from the dsi store and dsi games directly to your DSi number 3 it is as powerful as a PSP!!! And yes there are ways you can become a developer to develop dsiware and sell it on the dsi store and sell it or give it away. The apps that will come out for it mimick the ability of homebrew apps

I thought DSi will come out sometime during the summer.

In any case, I am going to get one. I'm more interested in larger screens and SD card loading. (Not interested in cameras). Hope Nintendo lower the price. It is quite expensive. Time to say goodbye to my DS Phat.

I'll wait till they figure out a bit more about the system. Hopefully they'll drop the DSLs to around $75 or so, then drop the DSis eventually.

Can anyone confirm if the DS lite's prices will go down once this system is relased or no?
you can not confirm what is not known. this is still a rumour at best. I would be surprised to see the DSi launch prior to july 09 here in north america.

some stores in the states are completely sold out of ds lite systems still from the xmas rush. and if nintendo can't keep their current gen system on the shelves still, there is no reason to release the DSi just yet.

That's enough time to start putting money down for one at good old Gamestop. Think I might just do that.

Knowing that is coming from you CockroachMan, i believe that... xD

And I hope that knocks down $30 from the current ds... because really... that's the only reason I want it to come out...

I agree with some people on the first page. I just broke the top screen on my Lite, and so I was waiting for this. Ill pay the $180 nonetheless, but I was really hoping that it would be close to $150. Theres no logical need to have this thing selling for $30 more than what the original DS was.

DSiWare.. plus, if your DS/DSL breaks and you want a new one.. why not?
And if you put it that way, people who will be buying the DSVision wil most likely pay $60 or so to get the cart + memory card, so in a sense, if you are planning to upgrade your original Lite for DSiWare, then you could buy the DSVision, if you dont already have a DS, then you could just pay the $60 to have it embedded onboard. Or am I completely wrong to say that DSiWare will be distributed through the DSVision program?

What I resent most is that I'd have to buy new cards for the DSi. I'd have to replace two of them ... Nah ...
