It doesn't seem to work quite as well on no$gba. On my Soul Silver it only makes it to 28 events before it crashes, regardless of the number of badges. But that's still better than nothing, I guess.

Never mind my stupidity. It works just fine. I was using the wrong version of no$gba.

I have a R4 v 1.18 without ysmenu. Would it still work or do I really have to get ysmenu?

you can play it with or without ysmenu it works perfectly fine.

NO freezes man, I thought this was just for HGSS! The universal was not refering to "patch" but to "children" so all children in universe can play, isn't it?

it froze on me when i had 1 badge and was walking down from violet city to the first cave im using DSTT not sure how many events it was
you sure you patched it fine (got .nds and .bak files and used the .nds one)? because I have 3 badges and not a single freeze. if yes, then maybe your SD card is too slow?

QUOTE(Exbaddude @ Mar 30 2010, 01:00 AM) After it's done patching, do I use the .nds or .bak file?
.nds, .bak is the original unpatched file. "bak" stands for "backup".

The NDS file...

People are so meh this days, if you payied attention to the modification date you would know the answer already. Bak is an abreviattion for BAcKup =p. Just in case the patch fucked up your rom =p.

Use the .nds!!! The .bak is a backup of the ORIGINAL UNPATCHED ROM.
I have been playing from the 1st gym and just finished the 3rd. Not a single freeze

EDIT: ahh.. Ninja'ed...
but yea..people gotta learn how to read the first post or notice the date changes!

I registered just to say thank you, finally a patch that actually works has been created.
150 events without any freezing

Rename the .bak file to .nds
lol, no. when you're patching, the original gets renamed to .bak, and the same-named-as-the-original .nds is created, which is the patched version.

Does this change the region code to US?
I don't want to be playing a JAP version of the game. I probably won't play at all until there is a patch for the EU version.

What are we supposed to name our Rom before we patch it? Because when I have it at "Pokemon - Soul Silver (U)(XENOPHOBIA).nds," it says that the universal code cannot be found or something.

EDIT: Nvm, what I did wrong and did not realize was that the "Supposed-To-Be-Pokemon SS-Rom" was actually a SAVE FILE. Got the patch to work.
