Rubik's cube.

Fascinating, ain't it?

I've been practicing solving it for the past week and I'm getting pretty good at it now. Fastest I can solve it in is about 3 minutes or so. Youtube videos FTW!

Have you ever solved it? Do you know anyone who can solve it? What's your fastest time?

Dang it's fun.

That's all.

When they first came out (that's how old I am) after a while (& using a paper thin guide & memorising it) I could do it in ~4mins. My Brother on the other hand was even quicker

Nowadays - I can't remember the guide, & my fingers aren't as nimble as they use to be - so I guess this'll be the only one I could solve nowadays

I honestly don't believe IQ has anything to do with solving a cube.

Yeahp, its all about memorizing the right moves and stuff.

I can solve a 2x2 and a 3x3.
my fastest in 2v2 was proll under 30sec, and the 3x3 in under 1min.

It was all the rage at school last last year so, i had lots of practice.

It's easy when you know it

My best time is 1 minute, but recently I haven't been practicing(and I still haven't gotten to doing advance methods)

Never, ever solved one. After 2 mins I give up. I should give it a new try some day though, should solve a rubik's cube at least once in my life.

Man, I used to be obsessed the cube. I'm a bit rusty now, but I can still average ~35 seconds or so. My best is 21 seconds. My best for the cube marathon (2x2, 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5 in succession) is 8:50. I've also done a blindfold solve, though I had to write notes to do it. Really, it has nothing to do with IQ. It just takes patience at first, but once you know, you can do it barely looking. I've got all cubes from 5x5 down to 1x1 (yes, 1x1) but I was unable to purchase the 6x6, 7x7 or 8x8 cubes so I have no idea how fast I would be with those, but I can solve them.

Yes I realize I am showing off, many apologies, but in comparison to the world record holders, I'm barely average.

Damn. I can like Solve one side then pfft. I dont/can't memorize all those damn Algorithims.

I'm ok at the 'Cube'. I don't care for how quickly I can do one though. I did watch a cool vid on Youtube with some dude doing 2 simultaneously in, like 50 seconds!

EDIT: Actually, it's 45 seconds!!

I'd like to bet he has no girlfriend!

I've never fully completed a Rubik's Cube. I always got up to 5 sides complete but could never get the last one.

I've been playing with them for 3 years now and average about 20 seconds. I don't know why, but they're so addicting.
