Gaming Roms... Last date modified 1996

Its probly nothing, but since Ive just started this whole scene, I've been really careful with the roms Im using, trying to verify them the best I can, and just looking for anything out of the ordinary. Most of the roms have dates from the time they were dumped Im guessing, or there abouts... but ever so often I get one that has a last date modifed of 12/24/1996. Anything to be concerned about?

Sounds stupid after I've typed all of this, but ah, whatever

The modification date (for the most part) is stored in the FAT and some people have the option switched off and some compression apps either fail to read or simply do not read it.

You best bet is still a hash check though (offline list, ndscrc.......) and if you are exceptionally paranoid a file system check using NDSTS or something as that would be exceptionally hard to fake.

Thanks for the reply. I've checked the crc of the roms in question with offline list and they all match up. They also come from a place that I think is pretty respectable, so its probly nothing
