Imagine CAPCOM suing anyone who makes Fan Art of their game characters.

Unless that woman can prove she has her work licensed and that licence is copyrighted and that copyright is still active, then yeah, she might have a chance of suing CAPCOM for Copyright fraud.
And even then, Copyright laws are not the same everywhere.

Imagine Capcom suing anyone who made Resident evil 9 and sold it for consoles and computers.

I was disappointed by the idea that "nobody would expect to have to license it" as it was explicitly written in the book.
