Hacking ROM Backup

When trying to use Rudolph's WiFi dumper, it says the data transfer failed. I'm pretty much hopeless trying to get this to work, so I've decided I want to use another way of dumping games. My choices are EZFlash 3-in-1 or slot 2. Since I have plenty of micro sd cards to use, a cheap slot 2 may be the best solution. Here are my questions:

1) Which way of dumping is faster?
2) Which way is cheaper?
3) If the answer to #2 is slot 2, which cart is the cheapest and where's the best place to get it from?
